| Awesomely powerful and incredibly intelligent, Dark Scorponok was once widely feared by Decepticon and Autobot alike, until his chassis was destroyed by Megatron. His mind and memory shattered, only partially operational and powered by the might of Unicorn some of which he managed to absorb he hungers for a return to full functionality. Even in his partly destroyed state, his mech-venom sting and super-strong claws are a threat to all but the most powerful beings, and his return heralds a new era of fear for all who stand in his way. |

Now, I love Transformers. I'm 16, and I just recently got completely into TF's in time for the Energon series. By the way, cool toys, bad show. Anyway, the first transformer I bought was energon Scorponok. Through all the rest of the energon line, he stayed my top favorite.
And now he's back with a vengeance! An awesome mold, now with some righteous colors and a cyber key thrown in for good measure.
The Scorponok mold is one of the most durable is existence. (Those of you with any vintage G1 toys that are still holding together, forgive me) Though I bought him first, he's still in the best shape. The mold is cool beyond comparison, except for a little lacking in the arm/shoulder poseability.
But he's got three modes, all of which are awesome. He is also the only transformer I have yet discovered that has a minicon peg, an energon star holder, and a cyber key thingy.
Anyway, he's righteously awesome. Thanks for reading. |

Since everybody is saying that Ultra R01 is Dark Scorponok this is where I'm leaving this review. I recently found Dark Scorponok at a Toys R Us in Indianapolis, IN. I must say i was kind of skeptic because I didn't by the Energon Scorponok as i wasn't crazy about it. I bought Dark Scorponok because I have collected all the Cybertron figures so far.
Dark Scorponok is a Scorpion/Construction type vehicle that can also turn into a jet. Me personally I prefer him in jet mode. His transformation is not the most difficult around, but certainly mor complex than Vector Prime. Dark Scorponok is a good size figure. In robot mode his arms are kind of limited in movement, although i like the missile launchers in his hands. In vehicle mode he has scorpion features mixed in with a construction vehicle look. It actually goes very well together. His Planet Key gimmick unlock to blaster cannons on what supposed to be his stinger. He does make some sounds when certain buttons are pressed, but they aren't the greates. In jet mode is where I really like Dark Scorponok. I have alway liked Transformers though that had more than one vehicle mode.
Overall Dark Scorponok is a good figure. Not really sure he's worth the $30.00, but if you're a fan of the Cybertron toys than I would call him a must get figure. |

| This so-called "Ultra R01" has gotta stop. It's Dark Scorponok! His Japanese name is Black Karak, he has a new color scheme (unlike Energon Scorponok) and he has a planet key gimmick. And he transforms into a jet (Those who don't know how to transform Dark Scorponok into a jet, get Energon Scorponok). This new recolor can teach you anything! |
